Nippon Signal was established during a period of rapid modernization
of Japanese transportation system, with the aim of promoting the creation and advancement of railway signaling
technology within Japan.
The nation's Shinkansen trains are now the fastest in the world, and Japanese metropolitan train systems have a higher density
than those of any other country. It is Nippon Signal's technologies that keep them running safely and reliably every day.
Central among these technologies are our centralized traffic control (CTC) systems, automatic train control (ATC) systems,
automatic train stop (ATS) systems, and automatic train operation (ATO) systems. These are supported by various other products
incorporating the most advanced technology available, such as interlocking systems that control railway switches and signal
lights, as well as by a wide range of devices such as track circuits, railway crossing gates, brake shoes and others that
are essential for safe and accurate railway operation.
